Trials and Tribulations

by | Nov 9, 2024 | Helper, Helpless, Presence, Trials

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

(James 1:12 ESV)

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

(1 Peter 5:10 ESV)

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and be constant in prayer.

(Romans 12:12 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages: “tribulations-a cause of great trouble or suffering.”

Have you ever been through issues? Trials, tribulations? I really believe we all have one time or another.

What do you do when trouble comes? I have seen people crumble under pressure, but I have also seen others rise above the problems. I envy the ones who rise above with little effort. I am getting there but have not quite made it yet. Hopefully soon.

Troubles do come, but we have a helper to help us get through them. That helper is Jesus. He is always with us, but it seems I am more aware of Him when I am going through something. Jesus is front and center of my life. I tend to depend on Him more when I have an issue.

Why is that? Why do I think I need Him more when problems come? I need Him every day, every hour, and every minute of my life. Jesus is who we need. Jesus is all we need. He is the one who takes care of us, provides and heals us. Why would we need anyone else? When things are going well, we tend to think that we can handle it. Give Jesus a rest from always bailing us out. We should always trust Jesus in the good times and the bad. He is always there with us anyway. So start depending more on help from Jesus. He’s just waiting for us to ask.

Have a fantastic day, everyone.
