Do you ever wonder if you had any specific function in the Body of Christ? You might not have felt that way in Nehemiah’s day: “Eliashb the high priest and his fellow priests went to work and rebuilt the Sheep Gate . . . The men of Jericho built the adjoining section, and Zaccur son of Imri built next to them . . .” (Neh. 3:1-3).
If you continue reading through the chapter, you will learn that each part of the structure was built by a specific person or group of people. Everyone was included. No one did anyone else’s job. Each did his own, and because of the combined work of each, the structure was completed.
Each of us has a “portion of the wall” that we are called to “build”. Are you building yours? Or are you doing your own thing, relying on others to do what God has specifically asked you to do? Think about it!
In His love,
