We are admonished to pray for our governments. Why? So that the Kingdom of God can be advanced!

Jesus calls us to give God the number one place in our life—to look to Him for everything that we need. Then we can replace our worries with something more useful—being concerned about God’s kingdom and finding ways to share God’s love with others.
You have to wonder about the people in the Bible who knowingly told lies in the name of the Lord. Did they really think He wasn’t listening? But wait. Are we not guilty of the same thing when we distort Truth to fit our agenda?
Faced with easy choices that are hard to implement, our lives are a mess. There is only one way out of the mess, and His name is Jesus!
