No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
(Matthew 6:24 NIV)
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life are not from the Father but are from the world. And the world is passing away, and the desires of it, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
(1 John 2:15-17 NIV)
According to the AI Overview, “Putting God on hold” is a phrase used to describe a situation where a person intentionally or unintentionally delays or neglects their relationship with God, often by prioritizing other things in life. This can manifest as a lack of prayer, Bible study, or participation in religious activities, even while acknowledging a desire to connect with God. It can lead to feelings of distance from God and a sense of spiritual emptiness.”
Is this you? Have you got God on hold? If so, why? Do you think God will just sit back and wait until you decide to get back to Him? Don’t you think God has things to take care of for others too?
Let me tell you this. God is not sitting back waiting for you. He is with you even if you don’t think so. And yes, He has others to deal with. But God is the ultimate multitasker. He can be with everyone at the same time.
So the next time you don’t feel like God is near, think again. He is right beside you every minute of every day. He won’t force Himself on you but He also won’t leave you on your own. So turn around. God is right there. He is waiting for you to acknowledge Him. Tell God how much you love Him. Walk with Him every day.
Have a great day, everyone.
