“I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

(Romans 12:1 ESV)

“For our sake, he made him to be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

(2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV)

Has anyone ever told you to dig deeper? Have you wondered what it means to dig deeper?

According to google, “dig deep” means “to make one’s best efforts; to draw on one’s innermost physical, mental and financial resources”.

But what does it mean to dig deep in God? My opinion is to pray more, read your Bible more, and just spend more time with God.

God wants us to go higher in Him. In order to do that, we need to spend more time in His word. We need to study the Bible. I’m not saying to enroll in a Bible college. Just read and study the Word.

I have read my Bible through several times. Each time, something I have already read before will suddenly become clear to me. Something I didn’t understand, I now understand. God will show you things in the Bible.  He will explain them to you if you will just sit and listen to Him.

I believe that is part of digging deeper. I suggest that you open your Bible if you have one. If you don’t, I suggest you get one. Then start reading. There are some wonderful stories in the Bible. I love the story of Joseph and his brothers. Every time I read it, God tells me more about it. He explains verses I may not have understood before.

So open your Bible and read. Pray. I would say get on your knees and pray, but if you can’t get on your knees, pray in your chair. Pour out your heart to God. He’s waiting for your call. Talk to Him and dig a little deeper.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
