I have fought some battles in my semi long life. Some of the battles I felt God beside me fighting them with me. Other times I felt alone. I felt like no one cared whether I lived or died. Those were lies from the devil. God won’t let us fight alone. Even when we don’t feel Him near, He is right beside us.
The devil will try to steal our joy any way he can. He may make you lose your job, or a dear friend, car problems or illness. But we can fight back. We don’t have to just roll over and let him have his way. Fight back. Tell the devil not today. I choose joy!
He tries to steal my joy everyday. My Mom’s birthday is coming up in April. I still miss her and she went home May 31, 2013. Those two days are hard for me. But not this year. I choose to retain my joy and celebrate the fact she is finally home.
Whatever you are going through today, you have a choice to make. Will you let the devil win? Or will you beat him?
I choose joy! I refuse to let him win anymore battles against me.
Let that be our battle cry as we grab hold of God’s hand and go to battle.
