“Casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.”
(1 Peter 5:7 ESV)
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.“
(Romans 8:18 ESV)
Have you ever felt like you’re at the end of your rope? The phrase “tie a knot and hang” comes to mind. I have been there before. Not right now, but I can sympathize. Right now, God is holding me and loving on me. I am safe and protected.
There’s a song called, “Hold On” by Katy Nichole:
“Hold on just a little bit longer.
Hold On by Katy Nichole
I know it’s gonna be okay.
These days are gonna make you stronger.
You’ll find purpose in the pain.
Hold on just a little bit longer.
Deep down, there’s a well of faith.
Let hope arise as you’re lifting up My name.
And just hold on
Just hold on, hold on.”
That says a lot in a few sentences. I like the part “you’ll find purpose in the pain.” The rough times are just that. Rough. But there is a reason for the rough times. God has a plan, and the rough times prove how strong you really are:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
(Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV)
Take that verse and really think about it. God has a plan for each of us. He doesn’t mean harm. But to give us hope and a future. I don’t know about you, but I love it that God has a plan for me. So far, my plans are not working out so great. So I give everything to God right now. Lord, I surrender all to you. Mold me, stretch me, Lord. Your will be done in my life.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
