“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:” (Psalms 124:1-2 KJV).
Dearly beloved and friends,this world is a theatre of warfare whichever way you look at it.You need to transverse this life by playing by the rules set forth by the Master Architect of the Universe,who knows everything (See Acts 15:18) You need to practice the presence of God to survive all the wiles of the devil and his agents.
Please read and meditate on these scriptures:
- Psalm 91:1-3: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.” (KJV)
- Exodus 14:14: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (KJV)
- Isaiah 49:25: “But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.” (KJV)
- Romans 8:37. “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (KJV)
- Psalm 46:1-2: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;” (KJV)
Examples of those the Lord delivered:
- Adam & Eve: If not for God’s mercy they would have perished outright but He clothed them all the same (See Genesis 3:21).
- Job: God showed compassion on Job,put the enemy to silence by turning his captivity and restoring him doubly (See Job 42:12-17).
- Lot & family: The Lord God,delivered them from imminent destruction in Sodom and Gomorrah (See Gen.19:16).
- Children of Israel: If not for God, they would have remained in perpetual slavery but God delivered them from the oppressive regime of Pharaoh (See Exodus 14:29).
- YOU: Never lose your confidence in the ability of the Almighty God to fight all your battles and give you complete victory (See 2 Cor. 2:14).
What to do:
- Thank God continually for His mercy, defense, protection, love and favor.
- Pray in season and out of season.
- Apply the Word even when faced with contrary situations, His Word works.
- Never cease to worship and praise the Lord.
