Companionship

by | Dec 1, 2021 | Friendship, Jesus

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him, a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV)

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but companionship of fools will suffer harm.” (1 Peter 1:22 ESV)

The definition of companionship, according to google, is, “A feeling of fellowship or friendship.” I believe we all have at least one friend. If you don’t, let me know, I will be your friend. Friendship comes with a price though. Friends listen to friends when they need to talk, vent or just be with someone who cares. That’s not too much to do for a friend. I have listened to countless friends vent about whatever. But they in return have listened to me also.

There is someone who will listen to us all day, every day and not complain. He won’t even tell us his problems. That person is Jesus.

Jesus is my friend. He is with me everywhere I go. He listens to me and never complains. He never turns and goes the other way when he sees me coming. Know what? He will do the same for you. All you have to do is ask him into your life. He is waiting to be your friend, your companion. That’s a pretty good thing if you ask me.

So what are you waiting for? Just ask Jesus into your life and you will have a companion for life and then for eternity.

Have a blessed day.
