Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

(Philippians 4:11-13 ESV)

But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.

(1 Timothy 6:6-8 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages, contentment is, “a state of happiness and satisfaction.”

Are you content? Are you happy and satisfied?

If you would have asked me yesterday, I would have said, “no”! The devil was trying to discourage me on all sides. But by evening, I was better.

The devil was on my case hard. He knows that his time is short and he wants to discourage us in any way he can. It’s up to us if we let him or not. I choose not. But we all slip from time to time. When we do slip, we need to run back to Jesus as fast as we can. He is waiting for us with open arms.

Are you content with your walk with Jesus? Are you where you want to be? There is so much more to be had. We need to stop being content where we are and start wanting more. Jesus is waiting to take us higher. There are more levels to go, and better things to be had.

I don’t know about you, but I intend to start my journey higher today.

Have a great day, everyone.
