“No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.“
(Romans 8:37 ESV)
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.“
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
(1 John 4:4 ESV)
Have you ever felt down, alone, or lost? Well, get over it. You are not any of those things.
There’s an older song called Overcomer by Mandisa that I love. I used to listen to it in my car on the way to work when I was still working:
“Everybody’s been down.
Overcomer by Mandisa
Hit the bottom, hit the ground.
Ooh, you’re not alone.
Just take a breath, don’t forget.
Hang on to His promises.
He wants you to know.
You’re an overcomer.
Stay in the fight ’til the final round.
You’re not going under.
‘Cause God is holding you right now.
You might be down for a moment.
Feeling like it’s hopeless.
That’s when He reminds you.
That you’re an overcomer.”
We are all overcomers. It’s just that the world gets us down, and we forget what Jesus did for us. I am here to remind you today that you are an overcomer. Kick the devil to the curb by praising and worshiping God. Pick a song or a chorus you like and start singing. I don’t care if you can sing or not. No where in the Bible does it say to make a beautiful noise to the Lord. It says make a joyful noise.
God has given me the ability to hear angels. They come to my church every Sunday and sing with us. It’s really beautiful. I sit in the very back against the wall because that’s where the sound board I run is. One Sunday, we were singing, and I felt them all around me. The wall behind me dissolved, and it sounded like thousands of voices all around me. All singing in harmony. Beautiful. So sing your heart out to the Lord and have a great day, everyone.
