“For God does not show favoritism.”
(Romans 2:11 NLT)
“Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.“
(Ephesians 6:9 NLT)
“But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.“
(Colossians 3:25 NLT)
“And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as foreigners in the land.“
(1 Peter 1:17 NLT)
I know there will be some arguments about this, but I am God’s favorite. Yep. That’s me.
Ok, I admit it. We all are God’s favorite kids. I started looking for verses that said God doesn’t play favorites. I found a bunch of them. Ok. Six times. But six times in the Bible says God does not show favoritism. But if He did, I would be His favorite.
I’m just kidding. God loves us all equally. There are no favorites, no one over another. God loves us all equally. Isn’t that good news? Our Heavenly Father loves us all the same. He treats us all the same. What He does for one He will do for another. He treats us all the same.
So why did one person get blessed and another didn’t? Why was she healed, and he wasn’t?
Think about it a minute. Maybe the one who was blessed or healed is doing more for God than the other person. Maybe they are out doing what God has for them to do, and the others are just doing the bare minimum. We don’t know what someone else is doing in private. Maybe God is trying to stretch them out of their comfort zones before healing or blessing them.
So next time you are waiting for God to move in your life and you see someone else be blessed or healed, give thanks. God inhabits our praise. Maybe He is waiting for you to start praising and thanking Him.
Have a blessed day.
