“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.“
(Romans 8:18 ESV)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
(Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV)
There is a song called, “Hills and Valleys” by Tauren Wells:
“On the mountains, I will bow my life
Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells
To the One who set me there.
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the One who sees me there.
When I’m standing on the mountain, I didn’t get there on my own.
When I’m walking through the valley, I know I am not alone.
You’re God of the hills and valleys.
Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys.
And I am not alone.”
Have you ever had a day where everything falls into place perfectly? Then, the next day, everything falls apart? I think we all have. But one thing I have learned is that no matter what, no matter if it’s the best day ever or the absolutely worst day, God is with you. God will never leave us alone unless we want Him to. God will not pressure us. But He will encourage us and take care of us if we let Him.
We will all go through rough times. That’s just a fact of life. The devil will come to try to shoot us down every day. Our job is to not let Him. When he comes to attack, run to the Father for protection. No one can protect us like our loving Heavenly Father.
So next time you are traveling the rough spots, remember God is with you, holding you and protecting you. Just lean on Him for support.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
