Fix It

by | Dec 30, 2023 | Apology, Salvation

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

(1 Peter 5:10 ESV)

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.”

(Psalm 51:12 ESV)

Good Morning. Todays message is sponsored by Duct tape. Have you ever fixed anything with duct tape? Sadly, I have tried.

Why am I talking about duct tape? I saw this on Facebook and couldn’t let it go: “Duct tape may patch a lot of things. But 3 nails fixed everything.”

Jesus died, nailed to the cross with 3 nails. From what I have read, those nails were more the size of railroad spikes. I don’t know for sure, but they had to be pretty big to go through both feet. Now, I am not MacGyver who could fix anything with duct tape. But I can fix my relationship with people and God with just a couple of words. I’m sorry. Those words can fix just about anything. If they are said correctly. You have to really mean you’re sorry.

If you really want to fix a broken relationship, forget the duct tape and just apologize. I don’t care if you were in the wrong or not. Apologize. Saying I’m sorry can fix a lot of things. If you have wronged someone or if you have been wronged, apologize. It doesn’t cost any more than a little time and humility. Jesus died for us willingly. He took those 3 nails willingly.

Are you willing to fix a broken relationship? Just do it. It will only hurt for a minute.

Have a great day, everyone.
