“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
(Proverbs 31:26-27 ESV )
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV)
What is a mother? A mother loves her children unconditionally. Or at least are supposed to.
Everyone has a mom. That’s a fact of life. But not all of us still have our mom with us. But that’s ok. My mom is spending Mother’s Day in heaven. Where she wanted to be for a long time.
God made mothers to love her children and raise them to love others. God knew that it would take a mothers love to get through to her children.
I found the definition of motherhood on google:
“Motherhood is the state of being a mother. A person enters motherhood when they become a mother. This most commonly happens when their child is born, but it can also happen through adoption or by marrying or becoming a partner to someone with children. Motherhood is a gender-specific version of the term parenthood.”
I am a mother of 3 daughters. I did not give birth to them but couldn’t love them more if I had. These beautiful ladies “adopted” me as their mom. To me, mom means love. No matter what your kids do, just keep loving them. And happy Mother’s Day.
