“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
(Jeremiah 29:11 ESV)
“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
(Proverbs 16:9 ESV)
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
(Proverbs 19:21 ESV)
Church was so good yesterday. The sermon was about God having a plan. Did you know God has a plan for your life? He does. He had planned your life long before you were born. God has planned all our lives out but even though He has, He won’t push it on us. You see, He gave us free will. Free will to make our own choices. God didn’t want mindless drones serving Him. He wants us to freely love Him because we want to, not because it has been programmed into us.
Google defines free will as, “The power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one’s own discretion.” Free will can get us into a lot of trouble. But it can also bring us eternity in peace and joy.
I think that sounds really good. I am going to give your free will a test. Make a choice. Live in the world or live for Jesus?
If you decide the world, I will be praying for you. If you choose Jesus, read the prayer below:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. In Jesus name, amen.”
If you read the prayer and meant it, welcome to the family. If you didn’t, I will be praying.
God wants us in heaven in peace and comfort. The devil wants us in hell in eternal fire and torture. Your choice. I hope you choose heaven.
Have a blessed day everyone.
