(2 Peter 1:4 ESV)
I have made promises and had people make me promises. I try to keep my promises but have had people break promises to me.
There is one person who will never break His promises. God! He never breaks a promise.
I have had God promise me things. They haven’t all manifested yet, but they will. God has promised me a new car. I am still driving my beat up, faded out 2005 car. It doesn’t look the best, but it gets me from point A to point B and back again.
Did God go back on His promise to me? Absolutely not. All of His promises are in His timing, not mine. If it was my timing, I would have gotten a car and now be ready for another car. But am I worried? No! God said it, and it will come when the time is right. God never makes a promise He can’t keep. God keeps reminding me to be patient and wait. If I hurry up and put myself into deeper debt by going and buying a car, then I might miss the one He has coming for me. God’s gifts are far better than anything we can get ourselves.
God has great plans for all of us, and if we just sit back, twiddle our thumbs for a while, what He has for us will manifest. So my advice to you is to sit back, twiddle your thumbs, and wait. God has great plans, and if we don’t jump the gun, they will manifest in His timing.
