“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 NKJ)
“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31 NKJ)
Have you ever felt dry, completely empty? Like you had nothing else to give? I have, recently in fact. Life took a busy turn, pulling me in all different directions at the same time. I felt completely drained. My well had run dry. The spring dried up. Well, you get the idea.
So what do I do when I feel that way. I certainly don’t feel like doing anything. But that’s the time I really need to. Those are the times I need to dig into the Bible and pray without ceasing.
Have you noticed how many are hurting, how many are asking for prayer whether they believe or not? Even those who are riding the fence, so to speak, know where to go when life drags them down. They turn to God. Yes, they turn to God. Maybe not directly but they ask someone for prayer. So when your well runs dry, dig another one. Dig a new well. Dig into the Bible more, pray more or ask someone to pray with you.
It’s time we all dig a new well. It’s time to fill ourselves up and run, don’t walk, to our Savior. He has an unlimited supply of what we need. So reach out and let God refill you.
Have a blessed day everyone. God loves you and so do I.
