“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality.”
(1 Corinthians 6:9 ESV)
I watched a movie yesterday called Greatest Inheritance. It was about siblings set to inherit their mother’s estate. But she didn’t make it easy for them. But God showed me something else. We have an inheritance waiting for us if we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. We have eternal life in paradise waiting for us. Think about it. No more pain, no more sickness or struggles. Just peace and no more bills to pay. That is good news. I look forward to the day I have no more pain, no more sickness or struggles of any kind. I look forward to the day I will be in heaven with Jesus. Just to be able to walk with no pain. To be able to stand for long periods of time with no pain will make it all worth it.
There are conditions to this inheritance just like in the movie, just not like the challenges their mother left for them. All we need to do is live our lives for Jesus. Easy peasy right? Wrong. You are forgetting about the devil. He wants us to fail. He tries to derail our walk all the time. It’s our job to recognize his tricks and put a stop to them. Use the name and blood of Jesus. Those are mighty powerful weapons. By calling on Jesus, we cause the devil to flee. He turns tail and runs. He knows a powerful weapon when he sees one.
So no matter what is going on, call on Jesus and ask Him to handle it. Be sure to remember to thank Him for it.
