“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”(Psalm 16:11 ESV)
“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”(John 16:24 ESV)
Have you ever lost your joy? Have you let the devil steal your joy? If so, shame on you.
There have been times when I allowed the devil to steal my joy. I don’t know why, but he crept right on in and before I knew it, my joy was gone.
Life is so much better when you are joyful. Things just seem nicer.
Google defines joy as, “A feeling of pleasure or happiness that comes from success, good fortune, or a sense of well-being.” Isn’t life better when you’re happy? Mine is. So what things can make people happy? How about a new baby or getting married? Not necessarily in that order. How about a new car? That would make me happy.
But what about Jesus? Does He make you happy? He makes me very happy. I know when I have a problem, I go to Jesus. If I’m just lonely and want to talk to someone, I go to Jesus. When the cares of the world are weighing heavy on me, I go to Jesus. I like His replies a lot better than ones I get from the people around here.
When the cares of this life are getting you down and you have lost your joy run, don’t walk, to Jesus. Give it all to Him and let Him take care of everything for you. He will gladly take your cares, problems and concerns. So no matter what is going on in your life, talk it out with Jesus. He’s waiting for you. He has all the answers and solutions to your problems already worked out.
Have a great day everyone.
