“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”(James 4:7 ESV)
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”(Ephesians 6:12 ESV)
Yesterday was a great day. I got to see my favorite paramedic for a few minutes. I will get back to him in a minute. I say the devil hates me because of what he tried to do to me yesterday. I was working on the booklets I make for the neighborhood outreach at church. I sat about 2 hours longer than I should have without getting up or at least stretching my legs. This is where my paramedic friend comes in. When I did try to stand, my legs gave out and I ended up on the floor. Yes, I am fine. He helped me up. I made edition 5 of the booklets for the outreach yesterday. What is usually a 3 hour job took me over 8 hours. First my laptop acted up. I got that fixed then my printer decided it didn’t want to work right. It was evident the devil did not want these booklets printed. Too bad, so sad. They are printed. It seems that the more I do for God, the more the devil attacks. My response used to be frustration. My response now is laughter.
I laugh at the devil. He really doesn’t like it but I don’t care. The more he attacks, the more I laugh. When I say the devil hates me, he also hates anyone serving the Lord. The more we do for God the more the devil will attack. As of today, August 11, 2022, I have written 871 devotionals, words of encouragement or whatever you want to call them. I was looking back to when I started and I can see how God has stretched me. It used to be just scriptures then it slowly evolved to what it is today.
My word of encouragement to you is don’t quit. Keep serving God and laughing at the devil.
Have a fabulous day my friends.
