Sly Tricks

by | Jun 18, 2022 | Deliverance, Warfare

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

(Ephesians 6:11-12 ESV)

“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

(2 Corinthians 10:3-5 ESV)

I have a word of advice. Keep your guard up at all times. The devil is a one trick pony but he keeps pulling that trick out in different ways.

The devil has been on my case lately. So I must be doing something right. But I let my guard down for a brief second and in he creeps, bringing anger and frustration with him. I had to take authority over them and boot them out again. Then I had to reinforce my walls and put my armor on again.

But I found out yesterday that I really do not like the person who was so angry and frustrated. She is not the person I am supposed to be, that I want to be. I wanted my calm, my peaceful self back. And I will. It’s coming back, I just have to deal with the fallout of me getting so angry, so quickly.

By fallout, I mean A-Fib. My heart has been skipping a lot of beats since yesterday morning. When it does that, I get really tired and it’s hard to function. But at least it isn’t racing. That means a trip to the ER.

But I have put my guard back up. I have my armor on and ready to do battle to get rid of the things I let in yesterday. God wants us ready to do battle at a moments notice. So get ready for battle, it’s coming.

Have a great day.
