Read These Daily

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV)

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV)

This was the instructions of an article I read online. The above verses were the top 2 recommended. I won’t argue, they are good ones. But there are other ones too.

We have all our favorite scriptures. One of mine is Deuteronomy 2:3: “You’ve circled this mountain long enough. Turn northward.” (NKJ). I have found that when I am stuck in a rut God will remind me of that verse. Then I realize I have been sitting spinning my wheels and need to move out the rut and get busy.

In the first verse, I CAN do all things. Jesus will strengthen me and help me to be able to stand strong when the storms hit. Storms in our lives come and go. It’s how we weather them that counts. If we lean on Jesus, we will stand strong and steady. But if we fall apart at every little adversity that comes, then the devil wins.

Remember trees will sway in storms, but if they have a good root system they will withstand even strong winds. We need strong roots. We need to be rooted in the word, in the Bible.

Put your nose in the Bible every day and read. Build your root system so you can stand against the coming storms. Start reinforcing your root system today. Read the Bible! Get the Word inside you.

Jesus loves you, lean on Him for strength. Then you can stand strong when the storms come.

Have a great day.
