“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 ESV)
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 ESV)
Storms come, blow about and then move on. Some storms are just little windy but then there are tornados and hurricanes. I am not talking about weather related storms. I am talking about the kind that the devil brings to try to derail us. Those are the storms that do the most damage.
My question to you is how do you handle them? Do you fall apart and take on the stress the devil is trying to send? Or do you fall to your knees and ask Jesus to take care of it?
The best thing to do is to ask Jesus to take care of it. There is nothing He can’t handle. No storm is too big for Him. If He can calm the winds and the waves, He can calm the storms in your life.
Just remember to praise him. I have learned that the more I praise Jesus the quicker the storm ends. The devil isn’t happy anytime but is especially unhappy when you are praising and worshiping Jesus. So let’s get busy praising Jesus and let Him calm our storms. He will. He is just waiting for us to stop trying to solve our problems and give them to Him to solve. So give them up today and receive the kind of peace that can only come from Jesus.
