“The Lord will reign forever. Your God, O Zion, to all the generations. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 146:10 NKJ)
“The Lord shall reign forever and ever.” (Exodus 15:18 NKJ)
When I opened my door yesterday morning, I saw it had rained. The song, “ur God Reigns” popped into my head. Strange, but that’s what happened. He does reign you know. He reigns over all. And does a great job of it. Who else but God could create such a beautiful place? Oh, I know, you say, it’s fall. Everything is dying and becoming ugly. Then there’s winter and everything is gray and bleak. But just look around. The leaves are changing colors. They are lovely right now. Then in winter a blanket of clean, white snow covers the everything. I love to watch snow fall, if I don’t have to get out in it.
God knew what He was doing. He created it all for us. He reigns supreme over all. And soon, we will reign with Him. Soon this old earth will be no more and God will reign. But until then, we need to be careful. The devil is out after us. He wants to discourage as many of us as he can. He wants to make us turn our backs on the one true living God. He has a lot of tricks in his arsenal. He tears apart families, causes sickness, drug addictions, steals our finances and sends fear and anxiety.
But we don’t have to let him. We can stand against him. Bind up his tricks. Matthew 16:19 says, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (ESV) Another tool we have is the blood of Jesus. This is a very powerful tool. I use it all the time. For example, every time I get in my car, I plead the blood of Jesus over it and me.
Jesus died for us so we can reign with in heaven. What about you? Are you ready? Jesus is coming back soon. Are you ready? Better be. Our God reigns forever and always!
Have a great day everyone!
