Why, God?

Ever wonder why when something does not go right and negative circumstances come about? It is not so much that I have been on the receiving end, because I have no control over the actions of people. I do, however, have to control how I am going to react.

God expects us to have self-control, because that is one of the fruits of the Spirit. Prov. 25:28) states that “A person who lacks self-control is like a city with broken down walls.” Most of the problems for me I have had to deal with in the past was the fault of the wrong condition of my heart. It was what you call the “heart of the matter”. I have meditated on the verse in Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me.”

When I ask God and ponder “why and how come”, I receive positive results when I trust in the Lord for His answers. I, however, remain negative and bitter when I continue to ask God the question “Why” or “How come God?” if I don’t trust Him about any situation and my question to Him remains.

I have experienced that dark deeds are continued throughout the world, mainly because of the condition of the hearts of people. And I was no exception. When I see most of my past problems was due to the condition of my heart, I have prayed the prayer of the Psalmist in Psalm 51:10-13 and asked the dear Lord to cleanse me thoroughly and purge me from deep within, that I may radiate His likeness and His light. We often may not be able to let His Light shine through us because we have dimmed His light from our unconfessed sins and not asked God to cleanse us from deep within and create in us a clean heart and have a right and willing spirit within us. I have been blessed to have prayed this prayer and the desires God has given me to pray this.

I hope you will also be blessed knowing the freedom of walking in His Light and encouraging others in the Lord. Praise and Glory be to God. Love and blessings to all in Christ.
