“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”
(1 John 5:14-15 ESV)
Have you ever wondered if God hears you? Or if He even cares? Read the above verses again. Go ahead, I’ll wait. The 1st one says where 2 or 3 are gathered, He is there. The next one says that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. So how can I ask if God hears me? God not only hears us, He listens closely to what we have to say to Him. He loves us so much.
The next part of that verse says “And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” Did you know God will give us things we ask for? God will give us whatever we ask for as long as it’s in His will. He won’t give us anything that will cause us pain or bring destruction to our lives.
I have wondered at times if God heard me when I asked for something. Now I now. Yes, He did. It’s just that the timing isn’t right just yet. But if I am patient enough and not try to push His timing, it will come. And usually it is better than what I asked for.
God is good. He hears our prayers. He hears us when we just have a conversation with Him or when we pour out our hearts to Him. He even hears us when we don’t want Him to. Scary, huh? Not really. God knows everything. No trying to hide anything from Him. So go ahead. Talk to God. He will hear you.
