But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
(1 Timothy 6:6-8 ESV)
What is contentment?
According to google, ” Contentment is a state of peaceful satisfaction and happiness with your current life situation.”
Are you content with your life? I am pretty content with mine. Do I have everything I want? No. But I have the things I need. What do I need to be content? A safe home, a dependable car, clothes, food, good friends and family. But the main thing is my walk with Jesus. That is the most important thing to me. I couldn’t face each day if I didn’t have Jesus to lean on when things get rough. Jesus gets me through each day. Not every day is easy or peaceful but I know Jesus is right there with me to see me through it.
What do you need to be content? Think about it. But I suggest that you put Jesus first. The rest will fall into place.
