Unashamed

by | Nov 22, 2024 | Boldness, Shame, Witnessing

“Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

(1 Peter 4:16 ESV)

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

(2 Timothy 2:15 ESV)

What does it mean to be unashamed? According to Oxford Languages, unashamed means “openly and without guilt or embarrassment.” Are you unashamed of your love for God? Do you cringe when someone starts talking about God? Are you afraid they will ask you a question you can’t answer? Don’t be ashamed. Don’t cringe when the topic turns to God. Jump in with both feet and tell them how much you love God. If someone asks you a question you can’t answer, just tell them you don’t know but will look it up and get back to them.

I will shout it from the rooftop, ok from the sidewalk, because I can’t climb up to the roof anymore. I will tell everyone about the wonderful love God has for each of us.

So next time people start talking about God, don’t be ashamed to chime right on in with them.

Have a fabulous day, everyone.
