“And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
(Hebrews 11:6 ESV)
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
(Hebrews 11:1 ESV)
“And Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.'”
(Mark 11:22-24 ESV)
“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
(Matthew 21:22 ESV)
“So faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ.”
(Romans 10:17 ESV)
How’s your faith meter? Is it strong and steady or running low or on empty? Lately, mine has been running on full and running over a bit. What do you do when you find you’re running low? I dig into the Bible more. I rehearse past victories. I remember what God has done for me. I keep telling myself, “Just wait. There’s an answer coming. Just be patient.” And before long, the answer comes.
I have found patience and faith go hand and hand. To have the faith I need, I have to be patient and wait on God. Nothing comes before it’s appointed time. God’s timing is perfect. Mine not so much. That’s why I wait on God. He has better plans than I do anyway.
So the next time you are running low on faith, just exercise patience and wait on God. He will surprise you on how He works.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
