I Sought the Lord

by | Aug 6, 2024 | Presence, Seeking, Trust

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday.

(Psalm 37:4-6 ESV)

“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

(Psalm 9:10 ESV)

There’s a song called, “Trust in Him” by Elevation Worship”

“I sought the Lord, and He heard, and He answered.
I sought the Lord, and He heard, and He answered.
I sought the Lord, and He heard, and He answered.
That’s why I trust Him. That’s why I trust Him.”

Trust in Him by Elevation Worship

According to google, trust is, “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.” According to AI Overview, trust in God is, “to believe in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of something. So, when it comes to trusting God, that means believing in His reliability, His Word, His ability, and His strength. The Bible says that God can not lie. That He always keeps His promises.”

Do you know God always keeps His promises? Do you know that God is reliable? Well, He is all that and more. God never lies. If He tells you something, it will happen. Maybe not when you want it to, but it will happen. God is no respecter of persons. If He does it for one, He will do it for you. That’s where trust comes in.

Do you trust God? Do you believe it when He tells you something? Do you ever put your trust in things instead of God? I think we all have one time or another. We need to build our trust. When God tells us he is going to do something, we need to believe it because He will do it.

Trusting in God is a choice to have faith in what God says, even when feelings or circumstances suggest otherwise. It’s more than just believing that God is true but also believing that God is good, cares, and is real. So start building your trust and have a great day.
