“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
(Psalm 82:3-4 ESV)
“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.”
(Psalm 91:14-15 ESV)
Google defines rescue as “an act of saving or being saved from danger or distress.” Have you ever needed rescuing? Or were you the one who rescued someone?
I have been both. I have needed rescuing from something. But I have also rescued people, too. I was an active EMT for almost 10 years. I had my license for 20 years. In my time on the ambulance, I rescued many people.
But the most important time I was rescued was when Jesus found me and brought me back the brink of disaster.
Jesus is the ultimate rescuer. He will track you down no matter where you are. Jesus will pursue you. He will rescue you from whatever you get yourself in.
Do you need to be rescued? Here is a prayer for you. Pray it, and mean it. Jesus will meet you at your need.
“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I receive eternal life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
You just gave your life to Jesus. Now start living for Him. Welcome to the family.
It’s time to get right with God. Time is getting short. You don’t want to left behind.
Have a good day, everyone.
