Stomp on the Devil

by | Mar 23, 2024 | Victory, Warfare, Weapons

“You are of your father, the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

(John 8:44 ESV)

“Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

(1 Peter 5:8 ESV)

My daughter sent me her wake-up alarm yesterday morning, and I looked it up. It’s, “Stomp” by God’s Property:

“Lately, I’ve been going through some things that’s really got me down.
I need someone, somebody, to help me come and turn my life around.
I can’t explain it.
I can’t obtain it.
Jesus, your love is so, it’s so amazing.
It gets me high, up to the sky.
And when I think about your goodness, it makes me want to
Stomp.”

Stomp by God’s Property

I can’t count the number of times I have wanted to stomp on the devil. He steals so much, finances, relationships, joy, just to name a few. But why can’t we stomp on him? But how?  Every time you pray or read your Bible. Every time you quote scripture, you are stomping on him.

The devil is the father of lies. He is the source of all our problems. But we have weapons. Our weapons are the Bible, praying, and speaking the word.: “Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 ESV)

There you have it. Submit to God, resist the tricks of the devil, and he has to flee. Not hard. So the next time trouble comes, read James 4:7 and tell the devil you are a child of God and he has to go.

Have a great day.
