“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
(Romans 12:2 ESV)
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30 ESV)
I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve heard someone say, “God is too busy for me. He doesn’t listen to me.” How wrong can that statement be? God is always listening to us. We are the ones who don’t listen for God’s voice. We become dull, and it gets hard to navigate this world. But once we realize what the problem is, we can sharpen ourselves up again by praying, reading the Bible, and studying more.
God is never far away. We just need to be in tune to our surroundings. We need to watch out for the devil.
Last night at church, Pastor Rita said we need to guard our hearts. She talked about a lot of things that I really needed to hear. I took it all to heart and had a talk with God on my way home last night. Pastor talked about attitude. We need to ask God if our attitude is pleasing to Him. I didn’t have to ask. I know my attitude yesterday was far from pleasing Him. But I allowed God to talk to me and correct me. I still have a hard decision to make, but I know God will be with me while I make it.
We all need correction sometimes. There are times God needs to slap me up alongside my head to get my attention. He did slap me once, but that’s a story for another time. But just know, God is never too busy for His children. So, if you have a problem, take it to God before you need an attitude adjustment.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
