“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
(2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9 ESV)
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
(Hebrews 11:1 ESV)
Inspiration comes from everything. Even from a sign on my wall. “Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear.” A friend gave me that sign not so long ago. It’s on the wall in front of my favorite chair.
What are you afraid of? Dying young? Cancer or some other illness? Being alone? The dark? I used to be afraid of storms. I used to be afraid of not being able to pay my bills. I now like to watch storms. Mainly from the comfort of my chair, but I do like to watch storms. I’m not afraid of not having enough to pay my bills. I have learned to trust God when there is too much month at the end of my money.
God provides. Period! End of sentence. God provides!
There are so many verses in the Bible about faith and fear. According to google, there are 231 verses about faith and 365 verses about fear. That’s 1 verse a day about fear. Interesting.
Do you think fear is a problem? Well, having been afraid of things, yes. Fear is a problem. But if you just activate your faith, fear leaves. Fear has no place in our lives. Just remember this. God is bigger than all our fears.
Have a great day, everyone.
