“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 ESV)
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1:17 ESV)
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26 ESV)
I spent a lot of years in the medical field. They said always hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Sound advice. But how do I apply that to my walk with God? Since there is no worst in God, I don’t have to hope for the best. He is ready to give me the best.
But.
There’s always a but. We can do stupid things and block His best. Yes, we are the ones who block the blessings God has for us. God wants the best for His children. He wants us to have the desires of hearts. Sometimes our desires don’t line up with what He wants for us.
I have always found that what I want may not line up with what God wants for me. If I am just patient, I will see that God has way better for me than I could get for myself. So I want to encourage you today to hope for the best because that is what God has for you.
Have a great day.
