“My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”
(Isaiah 32:18 ESV)
On my way to church yesterday morning I heard a song called “If The Lord Builds The House”, sung by Hope Darst:
“Cause if the Lord builds the house
If the Lord Builds the House by Hope Darst
Nobody can tear it down.
If the Lord builds the house
Nobody can tear it down.
When it’s built on His name
There’s nothing gonna shake this ground.
If the Lord builds the house
Nobody can tear it down.”
Where is your house built? Is it built on God or the world? God is a master carpenter. Whatever He builds stays built. But if you have built your house in the world, storms will come and blow your house down. Just like the big bad wolf in the Three Little Pigs story. Your house will topple.
Unless….unless you build your foundation on the solid rock that is God. Build your house firmly on God and when the storms of life come, you will stand firm. Nothing will be able to shake you if you put your trust and faith on God. God is bigger than all our problems, nothing shakes Him.
So where have you built your house? Is it built on worldly things? Or is it built on the solid rock that is our Lord God? Think about it. Have a great day.
