There are times when I feel like a second class citizen. Phone calls go unanswered, promises not kept. There are times I feel like I am all alone in this world. I keep feeling I am not important to anyone and that I’m not good enough. Lies, every one of them. It’s a tactic of the devil. He tries his best to distract and discourage me anytime he can.
How many times a day does the devil try to discourage you? It seems like the more I do for God, the more I get attacked. But that’s ok. I have learned to know his tactics. I am learning to recognize his tricks.
There are times it still hurts but then I just smile and move on. Yesterday was one of those days. But I just smiled and went on about God’s business. If you are doing work for God you can’t go wrong. The devil doesn’t like it when your focus is on God so he will do his best to distract you. Don’t let him. Keep your focus on God.
Let me encourage you today. No matter what the devil tries to throw your way, smile and say, “not today, devil”!
