Paths

by | Jun 16, 2022 | Patience, Waiting

“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

(Proverbs 3:6 ESV)

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.”

(Psalm 25:4 ESV)

According to google, a path is, “the course or direction in which a person or thing is moving.”

Currently I am walking a path I don’t like but God is trying to teach me patience. So I keep going. I know that this path will eventually lead to a better path. A happier path.  I have been down many paths in my life. Some have lead to good things and some not so good and by the grace of God I got off almost unscathed. But this path is different than others I have taken. God told me this will lead to something I have been believing for a long time. But I have to learn patience and to wait for God’s timing.

I have not always been a patient person. If I want something, I want it now. But that is not God’s plan for me. It’s not that He doesn’t want me to have the desires of my heart, He just wants me to be patient and wait for them. God has told me that if I will be patient and wait, the things I am believing for will come. And they will be better than what I tried to rush. So the things I have learned so far are to be patient and wait on God’s timing. By doing that, I will get my heart’s desires and they will be better than what I rushed.

So think about the path you are walking. What is God trying to teach you? Think about it and pray about it.

Have a great day.
