“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Ephesians 6:10-11 NKJ
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37 NKJ
“Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.
Victory in Jesus
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood.
He loved me ‘ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him.
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.”
No truer words were ever spoken, or in this case, sung.
Jesus sought me. I got hurt by the church I grew up in. The only pastor I knew hurt my feelings. Details are not important now. I have forgiven him. But I quit going to church. Oh, I made up excuses. I had to work was my favorite. I also used, “I just don’t want to go.” Finally my parents just stopped trying. I know all of us kids broke Mom’s heart when we stopped going to church. But Jesus didn’t stop pursuing me. He sought me. He never quit. He never gave up.
I am so glad Jesus kept seeking me. I have come so far since I found my way back.
Jesus wants all of us. He will keep looking for you, He will keep seeking you no matter what you may have done. You are not so far gone that Jesus can’t fix you. Jesus can take you and wash you with the blood. He will make you clean again.
But the devil will keep telling you that you will never be good enough for Jesus. That’s a lie. My life isn’t a bed of roses. But it’s far better now than when I wasn’t living for Jesus. I will say one thing, the devil pretty much left me alone. But not now. He tries every trick in the book to discourage me. But I have found that I have my armor on and I have become stronger in my walk with Jesus. The devil has no power over me. I have the most powerful weapon of all…the blood of Jesus. Plead the blood over yourself. Let it protect you from the devil.
Jesus is waiting. Have a blessed day.
