God’s Endless Love

by | Sep 15, 2021 | Love, Presence

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 ESV)

Have you ever felt like God was far away? Like you were searching and searching but couldn’t find him? I have, more times than I really care to admit. But He was here the whole time.

But in those times, I longed for a touch, just a word, to prove to me He was still here. To prove to me He still loves me.

Make It Real is sung by Mark Lowry. Below is part of it:

“If you can just see fit show me some of who you are
If you can shed some light into this broken sinner’s heart
I need to know the truth
And I need something I can feel I need you to make it real.”

I admit, there have been times when God just didn’t feel real to me. Times where I just drifted along, from one disaster to another. But God never left me. He was, is and always will be right beside me every step if the way. I know now that if I feel God has left, it isn’t Him. It is me, I have drifted away from His side.

It’s easy to get caught up in all the violence in the world today. But we don’t have to. We can have peace. We can have tranquility. All we need to do is stay close to God. I ask God every morning to take my hand and walk with me. I don’t want to take a step without Him.

So if you feel lost or alone. If you feel like God has left you. Take a step back and take a good hard look at your life. What are you doing to feel that way? God hasn’t left you. You drifted away from him. Get back to your walk with God. Grab hold of His hand like you did to your parents hand when you were a child. God will protect you. If you let Him.

It’s your decision. Make the right one.

Have a blessed day.
