“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4 ESV)
I have had issues with trust in the past. I have trusted people I really shouldn’t have. I thank God those people are no longer in my life. I have let people walk all over me in the name of friendship. I trusted them and they used me until I wised up. Then they walked out of my life. That tends to make trust for me an issue.
But God is turning that around. He has shown me over the years that all I need is to trust Him to work things out.
When people walked out of my life it was for a reason. And when someone leaves my life. God gives me someone better.
God wants us to trust him in all areas of our lives. If we trust him for a little, He will show us how to trust Him for everything. That is where I am heading. I am trusting God for every need I have. God is not a respecter of persons. If He does it for me, He will do it for you.
I have trusted God for so many things in my life. Some I have gotten, some I haven’t. But I have also learned that God does say no. And once I finally figured that out, I also realized that when He said no it was because He had something better waiting for me.
So I want to encourage you today to put your trust in God and His timing. God’s timing is perfect and once we learn to wait, we will learn it was worth the wait.
