“We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19. NKJV)
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6 NKJV)
I have heard that statement a lot throughout the years. Not directed at me, most of the time. I heard it again yesterday and it got me to thinking. Who am I running from and why can’t I hide?
We do have the ability to run, well I used to anyway. Age and a few other factors stop me from running now days. I used to love playing hide and seek. I was pretty good at it too. Unless maybe they didn’t want to find me. Hmm.
Anyway, so who am I running from? I think I am running from my past. I haven’t had a bad life, it just wasn’t always an easy life. But whose life really is?
I know for years I was running from God. But not anymore. Now I run to God. He is waiting with open arms for me. I also discovered I was trying to hide from God. Now that is impossible to do. No matter where I go or what I do, God is there. He is always with me. No matter where I try to run or where I try to hide, God is already there. He is there waiting patiently for me to realize I need Him. I need him everyday, every hour and every minute. I can’t live without Him. He is my guide, my comforter, my Savior and my friend.
He can be the same for you too. He is just waiting for you to realize how much you need him. Are you ready? Have you given your life over to God? If not, now’s a great time to do it. It’s really easy too. Just ask him into your heart and turn your life over to him. God loves you. He wants you to love him too. It’s time to stop running and hiding. No matter how far you run or where you try to hide, God is already there, waiting for you.
Have a great day.
