“For the righteous falls 7 times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.” (Proverbs 24:16 ESV)
“Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13 ESV)
What do you do when you fall? You get back up.
What do you do when you fall in your walk with God? You get back up, repent and start again.
Simple? Yes, it is. But most of the time we make it hard. We try to figure it out on our own and then when all seems lost, we finally crawl back to God.
Not me. I don’t crawl back to God. I run! I run as fast as I can back to the safety and shelter of my Savior’s arms.
One thing about God is he will never hold our sins against us. Once we repent, he washes them away, never to be remembered by Him again. But satan. Now that’s a whole different story. He loves to bring up our past. Just when we are doing good, walking beside Jesus, doing what we are supposed to be doing, satan will bring up our past. And not our happy moments either. He brings up the times we want to forget. He brings up things we have repented for and have been forgiven for.
So what do we do? Tell him not today. God forgave me for that.
So in other words, get back up. Take a stand and tell the devil to flee.
So if you have things bringing you down or if you feel like you have fallen and can’t get up, repent. Then get back up and get back to God. He is waiting for you to ask him for a hand to help you get back up. Have a blessed day everyone. God loves you and so do I.
