  God’s Little Lamb A Poem

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Love, Poems

So long ago and far away,

in a town called Bethlehem,

A child was born on Christmas Day;

God’s precious little lamb.

Three wise men got word of this wonderful news.

So, they came to worship their King of the Jews.

They had followed a bright star, in the East, all the way

Until it came to rest where the Christ child lay.

They presented Him with treasures of incense and gold.

But, the birth of their King was such a site to behold.

The angels, the wise men, the goats and the sheep

Gathered ’round praising their Savior, asleep.

For the wise men knew what this special birth meant;

Their Redeemer was born and, from God, He was sent.

Now, it’s time to remember our dear Savior’s birth

And rejoice for the reasons God sent Him to earth;

To die for all sinners upon that old rugged tree,

Where He served as a ransom for you and for me.

Let us praise the Father for His great sacrifice

In providing His lamb for our eternal life

And let us never forget what His son’s life was worth;

He’s the greatest gift ever sent from Heaven to earth.

Merry Christmas from my home to yours; and

Let us remember the real reason for the season.
