Can’t Disguise Man’s Soul

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Sin

The distinct entity, from the body that God desires to save in all mankind, is that man’s future. Man will survive death with joy in God’s heavenly home or misery in condemned doom. Day to day living and building a relationship with Jesus Christ, rewards his future state.

Men purchase fine homes and dress in apparel fit for a king. His outer garment in clothing’s raiment hides the condition of his heart like a mask hides his identity at a masquerade ball. Clothes become a false show, a disguise, or pretense of his true character. But in the end, the distinctive traits belonging to each man, can’t fool God the Savior.

God knows the condition of man’s hearts. In Matthew 10:30, we read: “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” If God so loves men and knows men this intimately that He knows the numbers of hairs on men’s heads even before men were born, He knows the condition of men’s spiritual well being known as our souls. Dressing up or dressing down does not impress Him. We can not disguise man’s moral or spiritual mode of existence. Men can be fooled but not the Savior, the Almighty One.

God is omnipotent. His power is unlimited and universal. He is divine with authority that surpasses all. In man’s daily walk, he is to strive to be like Jesus. The physical body will die and pass, but the soul lives on forever. In this lifelong journey, man lays the ground work for his eternal resting place.

Why then do men spend so much time and money trying to look their best and care so little about eternity? With so much at stake, God, help men prioritize attitudes and spiritual souls.
