“By faith, we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”
(Hebrews 11:3 ESV)
“All things were made through him, and without him, there was not anything made that was made.”
(John 1:3 ESV)
“He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing.”
(Job 26:7 ESV)
How do you believe the universe was made? Do you think it was created by a small cosmic particle of dust that exploded and caused the whole universe? Or do you believe God spoke it into existence?
I, personally, believe God did it. I don’t believe that it just exploded into existence. I know, for some, God creating everything is pretty far-fetched. For me, the big bang theory is impossible for me to believe. I have looked at pictures sent back from the Hubble Telescope. The universe is a beautiful place. It’s full of color and shapes. I can sit for hours and look at the pictures. Just look at what God created here on earth. Why wouldn’t He create a beautiful universe?
That poses the question, do I believe there is life on other planets? I don’t know. If God created life here, He might have somewhere else. Just think, maybe He kept trying until He got a group of people who never sinned. People who love each other and would never hurt anyone. Maybe He is still trying. I don’t really believe there is life on other planets. But it is an interesting thought.
I do believe God created us and the world we live in. I also believe God has a wonderful sense of humor. Next time you want to see God’s handiwork, go out in the country on a clear night and look up. Then try to count all the stars. What a great way to spend a warm summer night.
Have a great day, everyone.
