There’s Joy in the House Today

by | Apr 13, 2022 | Joy & Happiness, Praise

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!”

(Psalm 95:1-2 NIV)

“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.”

(Psalm 100:2 NIV

I was working on some things yesterday and listening to music while doing them. The song, “There’s Joy In the House Of the Lord” came on. God said, “Listen closely. This is what I want in my house tomorrow.” So I listened. Here is what God wanted me to share:

“There’s joy in the house of the Lord
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today.
And we won’t be quiet
We shout out Your praise.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord,
Our God is surely in this place.
And we won’t be quiet
We shout out Your praise.”

So I got to thinking about it. I don’t go to a church that is regimented and quiet. We aren’t a structured church. My pastors let the spirit flow and wait on what God wants to do. I like that. When I leave I know I have spent time with God.

But I have been to other church’s. I used to go occasionally when I was younger with my aunt. I won’t say what church but I will say it was a very quiet church. And I guess that’s ok but I left how I went in. I never felt God there. I need to feel God working in my life. I need to know He is right beside me every step of the way. So right now I sing praises to my King. I shout to the world my Savior lives!

So lets go into the house of the Lord expecting today. Let’s go in praising his Holy name. Don’t leave the same way you went in. Leave the baggage behind. Take God’s mercy and grace with you when you leave. Take God home with you and let him live with you. You won’t regret it.

God loves you and so do I. Have a blessed day.
