“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
Isaiah 40:29 KJV.
Dearly beloved and friends,it is human for everyone at some points in life, for one to get tired, weary or discouraged in this journey. The good news, however, is that Jesus can strengthen, encourage and uphold us all the time. God even, our God rested on the seventh day of creation to affirm that it is possible to get tired. Rely on the Lord and draw strength from Him,He is ever available and willing.
- “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10 KJV).
- “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” (Psalm 102:13 KJV).
- “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” (Romans 9:15 KJV).
- “that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV).
Examples of those who received strength:
- Jacob: Disturbed by nemesis, and was avoiding Esau: he cried to God and was helped by the Almighty God (See Genesis 32:26-28).
- David: God helped and strengthened him against the Lion and finally Goliath (See 1 Samuel 17:50-51).
- Elijah: Traumatized by Jezebel, he ran for his life and sought to die but God strengthened him and re-energized him (See 1 Kings 19:7).
- Jesus: After the temptation from the devil, He was strengthened (See Matthew 4:11).
- YOU: Don’t be discouraged nor weary in this journey, be steadfast (See 1 Corinthians 15:58).
What to do:
- Let the Lord alone be your source of strength.
- Resist the devil and his agents of darkness.
- Be an encouragement to someone else.
- Watch and pray as you go on this route.
Main Prayer Point: In Jesus name: Father, Please strengthen me!
THOU ART MY STRENGTHENER.
