Run to Our Father

by | Dec 21, 2021 | Dependency, God's Love, Relationship, Salvation

“He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” (Psalm 91:4 ESV)

“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.” (1 Chronicles 16:11 ESV)

I read this online while looking for scriptures:

“Dear Friends,
Run to God when you’re happy,
Run to God when you’re hurt,
Run to God when life gets weary,
Run to God when you’re full of energy,
Run to God when you question, when you doubt, and when you fear.
Run to God when you need wisdom, or when you need anything at all!
Please don’t run away from God, run to God! He is always there.”

This is true. God is always there. No matter what, He is there. No matter what you may be going through, He is there to help.

There’s a song called “Run To The Father” sung by Matt Maher:

“I run to the Father,
Fall into grace.
I’m done with the hiding,
No reason to wait.
My heart needs a surgeon,
My soul needs a friend.
So I’ll run to the Father, Again and again.”

Run to the Father by Matt Maher

There it is again. Run to our Father. He loves us no matter what we have done, said or thought. He loves us unconditionally.

How many can say that you love someone unconditionally? How about if your husband beat you every day? Or your parents just ignored you, never made sure you were taken care of? What if your spouse cheated on you? Could you still love that person unconditionally? I don’t think I could.

But I’m not perfect, God is. He couldn’t hate us even if He wanted to. And I am sure glad of that. I have had moments in my life when I was pretty unlovable. But He loved me anyway. And He loves you too. I don’t care how broken or unlovable you think you are, God can fix you. So run to our Father, fall at His feet. Ask Him to forgive you. He will you know. Then live your life for Him.

What are you waiting for? Get your running shoes on and go. He’s waiting. Have a blessed day.
